Bobbi Lane, a commercial photographer based in Fairfield County, Connecticut, specializes in creative portraits, travel and stock. She is available for assignments from agencies, design firms and magazines both local and nationally. Lane's multi-faceted approach to photography incorporates over 25 years of technical experience with innovative artistic interpretation. Lane shoots primarily people on location for corporate and advertising accounts as well as photographing "real people" and travel for stock. Her stock photography has sold worldwide for ads, posters, and billboards.
Bobbi's clients include: Warner Bros., PricewaterhouseCoopers, Samsung, Bose Corp., Neutrogena, Ricon, Mattel, Sears' Tower Skydeck, and the Morro Bay Natural History Museum. Bobbi has exhibited her fine art work on Pow Wows and Sensual Flowers in Los Angeles, New York City, and Ridgefield, CT. She has won awards for both her commercial work and fine art work in regional and national competitions.
As a teacher on the regional, national, and international level, she brings insight and enthusiasm to her classes, each year inspiring hundreds of students. Bobbi's excellent rapport and open communication with her students stimulates creative thinking, while her straight-forward teaching style motivates students of many different skill levels.
Bobbi teaches for some of the leading photographic educational centers around the country including: The Santa Fe Workshops, The Maine Workshops, the Julia Dean Workshops and the International Center of Photography (ICP) in New York City. She is also a contributing editor to Photo Techniques magazine, and has written many articles on lighting, portraits, and color for the publication.
Bobbi photographed the children’s book "The Jelly Boat Book", authored by Heide Boyden and published by All About Kids Publishing. Bobbi's work is featured in the Amphoto book, "The Lighting Cookbook" by Jenni Bidner.
After twenty-five years in California, Bobbi relocated to Connecticut, and lives in the country with her fiancé, Dave Miles, and her two cats, Carmen and Squeak.
